    De Longhi Coffee Grinder

    De Longhi Coffee Grinder

    De Longhi KG40 Coffee Grinder

I got this De Longhi coffee grinder to get my daily caffeine fix. It purportedly grinds the beans to any consistency easy to clean and even comes with its own handy cleaning brush for getting the grounds out of those hard to reach places.

Only problem. It isn’t. And it doesn’t.

Though it looks very elegant and sleek, its a pain to use. Each time you grind the beans, its design is such that when you open the lid, coffee grinds spill out onto the work top. Ground coffee escapes from the grind container and into the motor drive connector. (Not the motor itself). You have to clean two separate compartments.

Its a real pain. Go for something less sleek and more practical.

    Cannot recommend this product.

    Go buy something else.

    Vax G3

    Vax G3 Pet Vacuum Cleaner

Not into product reviews, but I had to post on this masterpiece of poor design.

    Don’t Buy This Product…
Unless You Wanna Curse It And Its Designers

The Vax G3 has few redeeming features:

    A 2000 Watt motor
    A bagless design
    A retractable electric lead
Thats about it. The only positives.

The list of negatives seem endless:

No handle to pick it up
Extended hose works loose during use
Telescopic tube separates from the hose
Bagless dust trap requires emptying after each use
    Electric cord is too short
Swivel head works loose during use
Hose yawns open drawing air and reducing suction
Vax flips on its back like a turtle on its shell
Swivel head won’t follow wall contours
Filter cleaning is a major chore
Sponge filter requires regular wash and dry
Machine out of use while sponge filter dries
Pick up by hose entry to Vax body
    Small, heavy difficult to handle
    Poor maneuverability
I can only guess the designers of this mid-range cleaner did:

“No Usability Testing & No Ergonomics Testing”.

I got it in a sale with 50% discount. At £60, it ain’t worth the money.

I would’ve been sore, if I’d paid the full price of £120.
