How Much?
The Coca Cola company is ripping people off, left, right, centre, above, below. Anywhere it can, and Joe Public is turning a blind eye.
I bought a 500ml bottle of diet coke today along with some fuel, at a BP station. They charge £1.29 for the coke. 500ml is half a litre, if I buy two 500ml bottles diet coke, I pay £2.48 for a litre of diet coke.

Is She Just?
Watching a movie and a guy says:
“She’s my dream girl”
What does it mean?
He dreamt about her the other night? He holds an image of her in his head? No, its not that. Though that’s not far off the mark
Carl Jung, the Swiss psychologist explained it rather well. Each male holds an image of the ideal female in his personal unconscious. The ideal image starts off with a form that contains all mans contact with woman. Then add to the mix the individuals personal contact with woman, namely mother figure, sisters, aunts, teachers, other females in the village, town or city. From the individuals encounters, the stuff he likes and stuff he dislikes, he builds an unconscious image of his ideal woman.

The Eastern Religious View
The great Indian sage Ramana Maharshi lived in the last century, passing away in 1950. His life story is a real eye opener and a challenge to our Western view of what constitutes a religion and a religious life.
As a young boy around the age of 14 he had the feeling he was going to die. So he quizzed himself, as to what would happen when he died. He relates how he lay on the floor and allowed the death feeling to flow over him. Moments later he felt somehting die. And then he was free.

Or Not?
I’m driving home tonight. Its late, dark, cold and I feel tired. Earlier this evening, I had been reading one of Joseph Campbell’s books on Mythology.
Its been snowing here for the past few days and its uncommonly cold. In Canada, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, etc., they know this scene every winter. For us simple islanders living in the moderate climate that is England, this is weird.

Hit Men
Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson play two irish hitmen sent to the medieval city of Bruges to await instructions for their next job.
The film is a dark comedy with Farrell playing the restless rookie bored with too much time on his hands, reflecting on past errors.
Gleeson is different, as he finds the art and culture uplifting and spends his time visiting art galleries, museums, and begins to question the direction of his life. His time in Bruges allows Gleeson time to reflect on his life and his values.

Zen Like
Found this on the web somewhere. Don’t know who the author is.
Enjoy!
UNIX

He finds the apprentice in obvious distress, nearly on the verge of tears. “What’s the problem?” he asks. “Why did you cry out?”
