Outflows
Asvara – Sanskrit. Buddhist technical term which translates as outflows. Essentially its the karmic outflows that cause us (consciousness) to turn outwards to the world rather than inwards to seek ourselves.
Anything which serves to divert beings away from their inherent Buddha-nature.
Outflows are so called because they turn energy and attention outwards rather than inwards. Outflows are ended by practice of the three-fold non-outflow study:
Morality. Samadhi. Wisdom.
